On the first Tuesday of every month, a dedicated group of movie enthusiasts gathers at the Palace Cinema, 231 Whitehorse Road to enjoy a new-release movie, and a coffee before and/or after the movie.

To ensure you don't miss out on any cinematic gems, details of the upcoming movie, including its starting time, are circulated to members via the 'What's On' email in the week leading up to the screening.

Our July film is the romantic comedy Materialists, starring Dakota Johnson, Chris Evans, Zoë Winters and Pedro Pascal.

The story follows a matchmaker in New York who's helped countless others find love, but hasn't quite found it for herself. Or maybe she has, but the strict conditions she places on relationships may have kept her from realizing it. When she meets a man who seems to check every box, she's forced to ask herself: is she about to make a mistake, and is true love more important than her carefully curated criteria?
