Walking Group

The Walking Group undertakes easy 5-6 km walks, ending up with lunch at a local pub or cafe.

The walks are designed to be accessible to people of all fitness levels, ensuring that everyone can participate and enjoy the experience.

The social aspect of the walk is just as important as the physical exercise, as it fosters a sense of community and belonging among our group members.

After completing our 5-6 km walk, we gather at a local pub or cafe to refuel and recharge.

Our next walk is on Wednesday, 15th July when we will walk from Box Hill to Balwyn.  We will meet at the Box Hill Tram Terminus (Melway 47 C9) at 10:30am (meet near the pedestrian lights at the city end).   We will then walk to Balwyn but please note this is not just a simple walk along Whitehorse Rd with all its traffic, as we will wander along many interesting streets and a few parks before ending at The Stranger Coffeehouse and Kitchen, Cnr. Whitehorse and Cherry Roads Balwyn where we will have lunch.   This is a different route from a walk we took last year in the opposite direction.

The walk is about 5½km and includes a few small but very manageable hills that will not test us.
