Walking Group

The Walking Group undertakes easy 5-6 km walks, ending up with lunch at a local pub or cafe.

The walks are designed to be accessible to people of all fitness levels, ensuring that everyone can participate and enjoy the experience.

The social aspect of the walk is just as important as the physical exercise, as it fosters a sense of community and belonging among our group members.

After completing our 5-6 km walk, we gather at a local pub or cafe to refuel and recharge.

Our next walk is on Wednesday, 18th March along the Bay Trail in St Kilda.  We will meet under the clocks at Flinders St Station at 10:25am.  We will catch the 10:33am #16 tram to Luna Park, from where we will walk through a couple of parks to reach the Bay Trail at the St Kilda Marina.  We then follow the trail to Middle Park where we will stop for lunch at the Sandbar Café on Beaconsfield Parade, before catching the #1 tram back to the city.   The total walk is about 5½ km, and is very flat.  I can promise that the planets will align, and that you will see the sun, and maybe a solar or lunar eclipse.
