Walking Group

The Walking Group undertakes easy 5-6 km walks, ending up with lunch at a local pub or cafe.

The walks are designed to be accessible to people of all fitness levels, ensuring that everyone can participate and enjoy the experience.

The social aspect of the walk is just as important as the physical exercise, as it fosters a sense of community and belonging among our group members.

After completing our 5-6 km walk, we gather at a local pub or cafe to refuel and recharge.

The walking group is now in recess for December and January as we all enjoy a Christmas break.  Our walks will resume in February, with details of that walk to be in the February Bulletin.

We had a variety of walks this year covering many different areas of Melbourne, and will continue to do so in the New Year.  I already have several walks planned, but would welcome suggestions and input from other walkers who may be able to suggest, or even convene, a walk.   The formula is simply to cover about 5½ km, relatively flat, and find a suitable venue for lunch.
