  • Writing for Pleasure Group

The Writing for Pleasure Group members share a passion for the written word and cultivate their writing skills in a supportive and inspiring environment. They receive constructive feedback from experienced mentors and delve into the depths of various writing genres.

The group started with Owen Clark reading a poem titled "When Eyes Cannot See," which focused on going blind in old age, being unable to drive, and dependence on others. Click on the arrow below to read the poem.

Geoff Ellis continued with Sid and Jean and the visit to Broken Hill.  Beth Coote shared with us how she added a theology course to her existing qualifications in psychology and sociology that were part of her Bachelor of Social Work degree. Dieter Markworth shared with us the setup of churches in Germany and how they are funded by the state from taxes.

Overall, we enjoyed our time together and the discussion.

Our next meeting is the third Thursday in August, the 20th. Put that in your diary.
