Writing for Pleasure GroupThe Writing for Pleasure Group members share a passion for the written word and cultivate their writing skills in a supportive and inspiring environment. They receive constructive feedback from experienced mentors and delve into the depths of various writing genres. Our usual six budding Dickens attended the meeting on 17 July. The quality of the offerings was simply first-class and continues to provide both insight and imagination. Owen Clark wrote about a letter he sent to his body. Very imaginative! Frank Foley presented a beautiful but tragic story of a World War 11 survivor and his cat Beth Coote wrote of how she developed a love for sewing. In Part 49 Sid learns that he has been granted another 12 months in England. Dieter Markworth told of how he and his brother started a dance for mainly Hungarian ex-pats. Nicki Berzkalns wrote of the frustrations that arise when building a new house. She cleverly personified the actual house. As stated monthly, our small group continues to work well but could do with reinforcements. Come and join us. Who knows? You could be the next Agatha Christie.
