| The Tek-Talk and Woodies Group began as the Woodworkers Group in 1989, and then changed its name to the Woodworkers and Home Maintenance Group, a.k.a. "The Woodies", in 2005. During its 27-year existence, the Group has visited over 100 factories, small business and organisations of interest to members, enjoyed "home" meetings with presentations by visitors and members, and nowadays, lunches at the Harp of Erin Hotel in Kew every second month. Over the years, we used to have “home” meetings, where we chatted about things we had made, house maintenance activities, and any other household troubles we had had etc. Often, the last of these created some mirth; of course, for all but the relater of the tale! We are going to reprise this starting in June. So, come along with your stories of the relatively recent past, plus any items you have made of late. There is no need to tell me if you are coming – just turn up |
